On August 3 the miners of the mine named after Kapustin refused to start working because of the Ministry of energy and coal industry not fulfilling its promise to clear salary debts.

According to the Lisichanskugol coal miners union chairman Vladimir Ivanishin, the miners will resume operation only after the salary is paid to them in full.

“As of August 2, the debt is 10%. Only 90% were paid. This is the breach of the second clause of the payment agreement”, he said. “The strike will stop when everything is paid – 4.4 million UAH”. (Ukrainian metal)
