After an almost 3-months idleness Beringpromugol has resumed mining coal at the Fandyushkinskoye deposits in Chukotka Autonomous District.

In May the company management decided to stop operation until the 40-km road were constructed from the deposits to the port of Beringovsky. The construction has been completed. Moreover, office buildings, specialist workshops and an analytical laboratory have also been constructed.

Every day 8 trucks deliver 320 tons of coal from the deposits to the port.

The first batch of 40 thousand tons of power-generating coal has already been exported to China. The next Chinese vessel is expected to arrive in early August.

In H1 Beringpromugol mined 121.5 thousand tons of coal.

The company has been developing the Fandyushkinskoye deposits since 2012. The reserves are estimated at 70 million tons of coal. (Ukrainian metal)
