In January-June Russian Railroads bought 553.5 thousand tons of rails.
All the rails are bought from Russian manufacturers. In particular Evraz supplied 397.1 thousand tons of rails, and Mechel – 156.4 thousand tons.
This year Russian Railroads intends to buy around 1 million tons of rails: some 700 thousand tons from Evraz and 330 thousand tons from Mechel. (Ukrainian metal)
