In mid-December 2022, Ukrzaliznytsia concluded an agreement with French Saarstahl Rail to buy rails valued at EUR 37.6 million or 1.45 billion UAH.
The company will buy 19 thousand tons of R-65 rails with the length of 25 meters.
The price is EUR 1980 per ton or 76,392 UAH per ton on DAP Mostiska station in Lviv region.
The rails are two times more expensive than Metinvest-SMC rails. (Ukrainian metal)
