In July-August the state seaport Yuzhny plans to send to Ukrainian thermal power plants some 225 thousand tons of anthracite from the South African Republic.
“Within two months we expect the arrival of 3 vessels from SAR with over 225 thousand tons of coal”, the port reported.
On July 21 Panamax ZHAO YAUNG FENG will deliver the second batch of anthracite for DTEK. The ship will be unloaded in 3 days.
The first vessel – Panamax Alexander with 75 thousand tons of coal – was unloaded in 2.5 days.
For 2017 DTEK has ordered 675 thousand tons of coal from SAR with the option to increase the volume to 1 million tons.
The port also plans to unload 130 thousand tons of coking coal and export over 1.54 million tons of iron ore raw materials. (Ukrainian metal)
