The Ministry of energy and coal industry has asked the Ministry of foreign affairs to inform 8 countries about the risk of illegal coal deliveries from the temporarily occupied regions.
According to the ministry letter, such information has to be transferred to the Ukrainian embassies in Turkey, the Netherlands, Spain, Moldova, Bulgaria, Belgium, Poland and Romania to take possible measures to inform local ports, customs offices, as well as customers.
The letter has been prepared by the suggestion of DTEK Energo, which has lost control over its coal enterprises on the seized territories since March, and has asked for the diplomatic support to solve the problem of illegal sales of its products in other countries.
DTEK claims that illegally mined coal is transported to the Russian territory and then exported to other countries. The Ministry of energy and coal industry also believes that the same happens with the coal of the seized state mines as well. (Ukrainian metal)
