The Novovolynskaya No. 9 mine first shift miners refused to get into the shaft because of the non-payment of salary, but after negotiations with the management, went underground.
“The reason of the protest is the non-payment of salary. They have been paid 54% of April salary, and have seen no money since then. While the minister Igor Nasalik promised to clear all the debts by June 3”, the Independent Miners Union chairman Mikhail Volynets reported. (Ukrainian metal)
