In January-April coal companies of Chukotka Autonomous District mined 199.425 thousand tons of coal, up 2-fold YoY.
At present two companies mine coal in the region – Ugolnaya Mine and Beringpromugol of Tigers Realm Coal Limited.
Ugolnaya mine has supplied 77.925 thousand tons of coal from Anadyr deposits, down by 17% YoY.
Beringpromugol, which started mining at Fandyushkinskoye deposit late last year, extracted 121.5 thousand tons of coal.
This year the region intends to yield 650 thousand tons of coal, which will be sent to the power enterprises of Chukotenergo. Some coal could be exported to Asian-Pacific countries. (Ukrainian metal)
