In April Ukraine produced 1276 thousand tons of pig iron, down by 19% MoM, or by 299 thousand tons.
According to Ukrmetallurgprom, steel manufacture dropped by 20,2% MoM, or by 360 thousand tons, to 1423 thousand tons.
In January-April pig iron output totaled 6330 thousand tons, steel – 7019 thousand tons, down by 20% and by 15.2% YoY respectively.
In March Ukraine produced 1575 thousand tons of pig iron and 1783 thousand tons of steel, up by 0.6% and by 4.3% MoM respectively.
In 2016 pig iron output increased by 7.8% YoY, to 23589 thousand tons, steel – by 5.5%, to 24196 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
