In March, according to the railroad statistics, Chelyabinsk Iron and Steel Works received 3632 tons of ferrous scrap, down by 28% MoM and by 30% YoY.
For the last 5 months scrap deliveries to the works (below 4 thousand tons) have been the lowest in 10 years.
In Q1 scrap deliveries totaled 13.5 thousand tons, down by 19% YoY.
Railroad deliveries of scrap have been falling since 2007. In 2011 the company received 0.9 million tons, in 2013 – 0.38 million tons, last year – 0.05 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
