In January-March Russian Coal mined 4.045 million tons of coal, up by 8% YoY.

The highest growth in output was demonstrated by the enterprises of Krasnoyarskkraiugol – up by 16%. The company explains this with the high demand from the Asia-Pacific region.

“Despite the decrease in coal consumption in Europe, the demand for this fuel will go on increasing by 2030 thanks to Asia. This region needs cheap energy resources”, the company said.

That is why Russian Coal will increase its presence on the market of the Asia-Pacific region and its sales to China.

In the Republic of Khakasia coal output increased by 2% YoY, processing volumes totaled 896 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
