In January-February Chukotka region mined 3,577 tons of gold, down by 14% YoY.

The overall decrease was the result of the output drop at the large gold and silver deposits of Kupol and Dvoynoye.

At Kupol the Chukotka Mining and Geological Company mined 1.472 tons of gold, down by 218 kg YoY, and 19.9 tons of silver, down by 0.2 tons.

At Dvoynoye deposits, the Severnoye Zoloto LLC mined 1.1 tons of ore gold, down by 516 kg, and 1.9 tons of silver, down by 801 kg.

Other gold-miners have also decreased output. In particular, Karalveyem Mine obtained 203 kg of gold, down by 68 kg YoY; Valunistoye deposits of Valunisty Mine LLC yielded 69.7 kg of gold, down by 55 kg.

Mayskoye Gold Company increased output by 299 kg YoY, to 711.972 kg. (Ukrainian metal)
