In January salary debts to state miners increased by 96.6%, to 70.97 million UAH.
According to the Ministry of energy and coal industry, as of January 1, 2017 the salary debt stood at 36.09 million UAH.
From January 1, the ministry has increased the selling price of the power-generating coal, yielded by state mines, by 24.1%, or by 330 UAH, to 1700 UAH per ton.
In 2016 Ukraine mined 40.86 million tons of coal, up by 2.82% YoY, or by 1.12 million tons.
Power-generating coal output by state mines dropped by 11.77% YoY, or by 564.25 thousand tons, to 4.23 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
