Lipetsk Gipromez, one of the largest engineering and project design companies in the Russian metals and mining industry and part of NLMK Group, has been rebranded and renamed NLMK Engineering. The changes to the company’s name, logo and strategic positioning are a reflection of the extensive development it has undertaken over the last two years.
The company was founded in 1960 as a branch of the State Institute for Design of Metallurgical Plants and was engaged in designing the facilities for Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant, which has been known as NLMK Lipetsk since 1983. Today NLMK Engineering is involved in up to 400 engineering projects each year, more than 15% of which are for third-party customers in various industries.
The updated brand reflects the widespread changes at the engineering company. The former NLMK in-house design company has progressed to become a well-known engineering company on the global market. NLMK Engineering possesses unique expertise and extensive experience designing facilities in a variety of fields, including the metals industry, power engineering, mechanical engineering and transport.
Konstantin Lagutin, NLMK Engineering Chairman of the Board, NLMK Group VP for Investment Projects said: “The company has been implementing its target efficiency improvement and development program for more than two years. The changes that have been made during this period and the forthcoming development called for a new vision, new approaches and new positioning. The rebranding reflects our commitment to the highest standards of efficiency and quality in design services, for internal and external customers alike. I have no doubt that NLMK Engineering will bolster its leadership position in quality design services for industrial construction thanks to its extensive experience and advanced technologies for project design and management”.
NLMK Engineering is engaged in integrated design of industrial facilities using the best global practices and technologies, including BIM technologies (Building Information Modelling), project scope and cost management software, a unique performance standards system for designers and a project management information system, as well as advanced CRM-techniques.
