In 2016 the prime cost of steel at NLMK decreased by 50% compared with 2013, to $194 per ton.

According to the company statement, this is 44% below the average level in the industry.

In 2016 energy consumption decreased by 1% as to 2013, metal containing raw materials – by 2%, coal – by 2%, coke – by 6%, and natural gas – by 12%.

The share of the deep processing products in the NLMK sales structure increased by 12%, from 10.9 million tons in 2013 to 12.2 million tons in 2016.

Air pollution decreased by 5%, to 20.8 kg per ton. (Ukrainian metal)
