The state commission on the Stepnaya mine explosion will work for 1 month, with each Monday hosting a meeting.
After the investigation the commission will present not only the information on the reasons, results and people responsible for the emergency situation, but will also recommend the Ministry of energy and coal industry how to avoid such situations in future.
According to the Vice Prime Minister Gennady Zubko, coal output at the mine dropped from 2.5 million tons per year to just 500 thousand tons in several years. (Ukrainian metal)
