The Cabinet of Ministers will create a state commission to check all coalmining companies in Ukraine on labor safety and personal protection.
“This is (the explosion at Stepnaya mine) the case when we have not only to find out what happened but also to understand what is going on at other mines with labor safety. This is the No. 1 priority”, the Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman reported following the governmental meeting at the Stepnaya mine of Lvivugol.
200 million UAH will be given to purchase personal protection means for miners.
This year will see 1.8 billion UAH provided for the modernization and financing of mines.
According to preliminary investigation, the explosion at the mine was the result of ignition of the methane-oxygen mix. (Ukrainian metal)
