Coal stocks in warehouses of thermal power plants (TPP) in Ukraine in the period from February 12 to February 19, decreased by 1.6% (by 24,000 tons), from 1.53 million tons to 1.506 million tons.

According to Ukrenergo, in particular anthracite coal reserves during this period decreased by 4.8% (by 40,000 tons,) to 802,000 tons (including 279,000 tons at Luhansk TPP), while gas coal and long-flame coal stocks increased by 2.3% (16,000 tons), to 704,000 tons (including 130,000 tons at Burshtyn TPP).

Previously Ukrenergo acting head Vsevolod Kovalchuk said in the framework of introduction of a state of emergency in the electricity sector it was planned to reduce anthracite coal burning at TPPs from 30,000 tons to 20,000 tons per day. (Interfax/Ukrainian metal)
