In January Ukraine produced 2.1 million tons of steel, up by 9% YoY.
According to Ukrmetallurgprom, rolled metal output increased by 10%, to 1.86 million tons, of pig iron – remained on January 2016 level – 1.91 million tons.
Coke production dropped by 7%, to 1 million tons.
In 2016 Ukraine produced 24.2 million tons of steel, 21.41 million tons of rolled metal and 23.59 million tons of pig iron, all up by 6%, 6% and 8% YoY. Coke output increased by 10% YoY, to 12.73 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
