The Belarus Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) has concluded the largest deal in its history – the purchase of 120 thousand tons of coal at the price of $8.64 million.
9 sellers and 4 buyers participated in the trade, and as the result of just one trade section the company was able to cover half of its annual coal needs.
“Coal is in demand in the sphere of construction materials production, and the competitiveness of sellers allows local companies to buy it cheaper at the exchange, thus decreasing the prime cost of their products”, the BUCE press-secretary Roman Yaniv explained.
In 2016 the exchange share in the coal imports reached 40%. (Ukrainian metal)
