Russia’s palladium and palladium alloy output rose by 4.4% YoY in 2016, the Federal State Statistics Service said.

Platinum and platinum alloy production increased by 3.3% YoY, while production of gold-bearing ore and concentrates rose by 2.6%. But production of silver ore and concentrates went down by 13.6%.

In December 2016 palladium and palladium alloy production more than doubled YoY and jumped by 34.2% MoM, while platinum and platinum alloy output soared by 84.3% and by 12.8% respectively. Production of gold-bearing ore and concentrates fell by 4.6% YoY and by 16.2% MoM, but production of silver ore and concentrates went up by 2.1% YoY and by 17% MoM. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
