The Ministry of energy and coal industry has increased the sale price of power-generating coal mined by state-run companies by 24.1%, or by 330 UAH, to 1700 UAH per ton.
The price increase was announced on December 22, 2016.
Last time the ministry increased coal price was on August 1, 2016 – from 1200 to 1370 UAH per ton.
In 2016 state-run mines yielded 4.23 million tons of power-generating coal, down by 11.7% YoY, or by 564.25 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
