Krasnoyarsky Krai metal output went up in 2016. In particular the regional companies increased lead output by 44.3%, that of primary aluminum – by 17.5%, of aluminum alloys – by 10.1% and of aluminum discs – by 37%, all YoY.
Boguchansky Aluminum Works, a part of Rusal, will produce 150 thousand tons of aluminum. The first stage of the works will reach industrial capacity of 288 thousand tons per year in 2018.
Ore processing at the Nadezhda Iron and Steel Works, a part of Nornickel, increased from 1.9 million tons per year to 2.4 million tons, following a major overhaul. Talnakh Processing Factory second stage has been put into operation, increasing capacities to 10 million tons per year from 7.5 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
