In January 2017 Ukraine will produce 2 million tons of steel, according to Ukrmetallurgprom forecast.
Pig iron output will also reach 2 million tons, while that of rolled metal – 1.8 million tons.
In January-November Ukraine produced 22.2 million tons of steel, 21.6 million tons of pig iron and 19.6 million tons of rolled metal, up by 6%, 9% and 7% YoY respectively.
Average daily output in December was on the November level. As of December 13, 23 out of 27 blast furnaces, 17 out of 21 converters, 7 out of 9 open-hearth furnaces and 5 of 16 electric-arc furnaces were in operation. (Ukrainian metal)
