In 2016 DTEK financial results will be negative.
“We will have losses, but not that much as in the two previous years”, the company CEO Maxim Timchenko said.
The losses decrease has to do with the re-evaluation of the company credit portfolio, decrease in exchange risks and world coal price rise.
“This year the situation has changed. There was no such jump of dollar as in 2015, when the hryvna devaluated by 50%. So all companies have witnessed a decrease in losses due to exchange rate, i. e. the re-evaluation of the credit portfolio hasn’t affected financial results that much”, he explained.
Tariff situation has also started improving.
“Coal price on world markets has considerably grown in H2. In early 2016 it was $77, now it’s $311.The price of coal, used in energy sphere, was $44-46, now it’s $91-92”, Timchenko said. (Ukrainian metal)
