Metal companies, including Zaporizhstal, are the main donors of the state budget in the Zaporozhye region.
According to the Specialized State tax inspection for major taxpayers in Zaporozhye director Roman Afonov, metal companies provide for some 20% of all tax income in the region.
“From the beginning of the year major tax payers paid around 9109 million UAH of taxes to the state budget, with some 20% coming from metal companies. One of the leaders among them is Zaporizhstal”, he said.
In January-September Zaporizhstal paid over 1.62 billion UAH of taxes. (Ukrainian metal)
