In January-September Russia exported 160 thousand tons of transformer steel valued at $227 million, down by 14% and by 22.5% YoY respectively. These are the lowest results in 3 years.
Some 22% was exported to India, down by 2% YoY. Turkey occupies the second position with 19%, down by 30% YoY, while last year it was the largest importer of Russian transformer steel.
UAE imported 9.6% of steel, up by 5.4% YoY.
In September the average price of steel FOB Russia reached $1233 per ton, down from $1738 in September 2015. (Ukrainian metal)
