At present Metinvest is not negotiating the sale of Khartsyzsk Pipe Works, a leading Ukrainian producer of oil and gas large diameter pipes, situated in the Russia-supported terrorist-occupied territory.
“We’re negotiating hundreds of sales of our assets. We can sell those that we don’t use for a fair price, but not KhTZ. It has just received a large order. So the company will work. It worked last month as well. I’ve visited the works recently. The situation there is normal”, Metinvest CEO Yuri Ryzhenkov said.
This was the Ukrainian order, he added.
“Ukrtransgas made the order. We also produce pipes for heating systems, for Kievenergo in particular. And, of course, we produce large diameter pipes for our GOKs and metal works”, Ryzhenkov said.
In January-August KhTZ produced 5.7 thousand tons of pipes, with 66.3 thousand tons in January-August 2015.
In May-July the works was idle, producing 2.9 thousand tons of pipes in August. (Ukrainian metal)
