In January-August Ukrainian companies supplied 1.99 million tons of ferrous scrap to local metal producers, down by 8.1% YoY.
According to the Ministry of economic development and trade, this is 83% of the scrap needs. In August metal companies received 240 thousand tons of scrap and 254 thousand tons in July.
Scrap exports in January-August totaled 233.37 thousand tons with imports at 15.66 thousand tons. The total procurement in 8 months reached 2.21 thousand tons, down by 30% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
