DTEK plans to increase coal output at its mines in the second half of 2016 by 3.5 million tons HoH.
According to the company commercial director Vitaly Butenko, Ukraine’s thermal power plants need 1.5 million tons of gas coal per month, with DTEK supplying 1.2-1.25 million tons. Because of the increase in investments DTEK will retain the gas coal monthly supply levels to its TPPs in the next 4-5 months.
DTEK imports 120 thousand tons of coal from Poland and South-African Republic to be ready for the heating season, with 70 thousand tons from Poland and 50 thousand tons from SAR. (Ukrainian metal)
