The Ministry of energy and coal industry has developed a program that presupposes the reforming of the state coal industry until 2020 valued at 25.28 billion UAH. Of this sum 10.57 billion UAH will be provided from the state budget.
Direct investments to cover differences between the prime cost of coal and sale price at state mines will reach 2.1 billion UAH in 2016 and 3.69 billion UAH in 2017. 890 million UAH will be spent to put the Novovolynskaya mine No. 10 (first stage) into operation.
22 state companies will be modernized (15 billion UAH). 8 of them will receive 700 million UAH in 2016. 4 coal companies will be reconstructed (3.8 billion UAH), increasing their capacity by 2.85 million tons.
All this will allow Ukraine to mine 9.2 million tons of coal in 2020. (Ukrainian metal)
