In January-June industrial output in Donetsk region (without the ATO zone) increased by 5.2% YoY, but in June it was down by 9.2% MoM and by 4.7% YoY.
Metal industry saw a 6.9% increase, with mining up by 10.2% and coke – by 35.7% YoY.
Coal mining in June dropped by 24.7% MoM, with coke down by 23.5%, pig iron, steel and rolled metal – by 23.6%, 25.3% and 37.8% MoM respectively.
In H1 coal output went up by 10.4% YoY, to 7.1 million tons, coke manufacture increased by 34.9% YoY, to 3.1 million tons. Pig iron output totaled 4.6 million tons, that of steel – 4.4 million tons and of rolled metal – 2.3 million tons, all up by 14.9%, 5.7% and 15.1% YoY respectively. (Ukrainian metal)
