In January-June Donetsk Iron and Steel Works produced 350 thousand tons of pig iron, up by 87.2% YoY.
In June the company produced 35 thousand tons of pig iron, down from 106 thousand tons in May.
Open-hearth manufacture was shut down in 2012, and the steel smelting complex is under construction, so the works doesn’t produce steel. In H1 2015 the works was mostly idle, producing only 187 thousand tons of pig iron. (Ukrainian metal)
