According to Ukrmetallurgprom, in the first half of 2016 metal companies produced 12.45 million tons of steel, up by 11%, 10.9 million tons of rolled metal, up by 12%, and 11.94 million tons of pig iron, up by 17% YoY.

Pipe output decreased by 7%, to 398 thousand tons, while that of coke went up by 24%, to 6.48 million tons, all YoY.

In June Ukraine produced 1.87 million tons of steel, 1.59 million tons of rolled metal, 1.79 million tons of pig iron, 70 thousand tons of pipes and 910 thousand tons of coke, all down by 17.6%, 21%, 18.6%, 0.7% and 19.1% MoM respectively.
