Alexei Potanin has been appointed acting general director of Lisichanskugol instead of Boris Perepelitsa, who has been heading the company since March.

The Ministry of energy and coal industry appointed Potanin on June 13. In 2010 he worked as the acting director of Lutugin Mine Group, in 2011-2014 in coal sales company Ruteks.

Lisichanskugol mines power-generating coal and comprises of 4 mines: named after Kapustin, named after Melnikov, Privolnyanskaya and Novodruzhevskaya. The company is 100% government-controlled.

In 2015 Lisichanskugol mined 545.8 thousand tons of coal, down by 15.2% YoY. In January-May it mined 123 thousand tons of coal, down by 49.8% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
