There have been no deliveries of coal from the occupied regions of Donbass since June started.

“We have serious problems with A grade coal, even though the situation is not as critical as last year”, said the National commission on energy and municipal services regulations director Dmitry Vovk.

“It is difficult to meet the needs of thermal power plants in anthracite coal with imported coal only. We need 1 million tons, and can import just 0.5 million tons”, he added.

According to DTEK CEO Maxim Timchenko, the first lots of coal from SAR could be received in August at $75 per ton, while Australia can supply in September at $86 per ton. (Ukrainian metal)
