In January-March DTEK mined 7.2 million tons of coal, up by 5.8% YoY.
According to the company statement, the output rise allowed processing factories to increase coal processing and concentrate manufacture – to 5.4 and 3.4 million tons respectively.
In Q1 DTEK Rovenkiantrazit, DTEK Sverdlovantrazit and DTEK Komsomolets Donbassa Mine anthracite output increased by 120.4% YoY, or by 908.5 thousand tons. The companies also increased output by 20.1% QoQ, or by 278.7 thousand tons.
“In addition to this the active participation of the company in the reconstruction of the railroad allowed it to make regular deliveries from these companies”, added DTEK in its statement.
In Q1 DTEK delivered 1.3 million tons of coal to Ukrainian thermal power stations, up by 200% YoY, or by 900 thousand tons.
At the same time the abundance of electricity on Ukrainian market affected gas-generating coal output: in January-March coal output at DTEK Pavlogradugol and DTEK Dobropolyeugol decreased by 7.7% YoY, or by 412.1 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
