This year Yenakievo Iron and Steel Works plans to put the pulverized coal injection system at its blast furnaces No. 3 and 5 into operation.
“The machine could inject up to 240 kilograms of pulverized coal per 1 ton of pig iron, thus decreasing coke consumption”, said the company in its statement.
The works also plans to construct the air separator under the contract between Metinvest and Air Liquide (France). The new machine will be put into operation in 2018. (Ukrainian metal)
