In January-April Ukrainian metal companies produced 8.23 million tons of carbon steel, up by 16.4% YoY.
Pig iron output increased by 22.3%, to 7.87 million tons, that of rolled metal – by 17.1%, to 7.22 million tons, coke output went up by 34.9%, to 4.44 million tons, while that of steel pipes dropped by 10.4%, to 258.9 thousand tons, all YoY.
Average daily steel output increased to 71.8 thousand tons in April from 71 thousand tons in March, 67.9 thousand tons in February and 62.5 thousand tons in January. (Ukrainian metal)
