Avdiivka Coke and Chemical Works, Metinvest and Avdiivka city council have signed an agreement on social partnership for 2016. According to the document, financing of social programs will be increased to 9.5 million UAH.

The agreement was signed by Metinvest CEO Yuri Ryzhenkov, Avdiivka Coke general manager Musa Magomedov, the city mayor Yuri Cherkasov and the head of the military-civilian administration Pavel Malykhin.

For the past 5 years Metinvest has invested 43.6 million UAH into the city development: school and kindergarten repair, city infrastructure development, healthcare, etc.

Even though severely damaged by shelling Avdiivka Works didn’t stop helping the city. The company employees worked as volunteers, brought food to nearby villages under fire and helped municipal services to repair the city.

Last year the works didn’t sign any agreements as the situation demanded quick action. This year Avdiivka Coke plans to repair the city hospital, make pump-rooms and wells for access to potable water, make some inner repairs in schools and kindergartens, assemble sports grounds, bicycle parkings and street lighting.
