The Parliament committee on industrial policy has suggested imposing a scrap export duty on the level of 30 euro per ton.
But according to Metallurgprom president Alexander Kalenkov, this is not enough.
According to the company, the difference in scrap prices in Turkey and Ukraine was $41-45 per ton.
“So the export duty of 30 euro per ton still allows scrap suppliers to export their products”, said Kalenkov. (Ukrainian metal)
