In 2016 Pobuzhye Ferronickel Plant intends to keep nickel output on 2015 level.
“In 2016 we plan to produce 18 thousand tons of nickel”, said the company general director Oleg Bespalov.
According to him, the company also plans to process 1.42 million tons of ore.
“We have started the year with furnace repairs – the capital repairs time is upon us. We’ve spent the whole Q1 in overhauls. Despite the world nickel price drop, we still invest in development. The repair of each furnace costs some 15-16 million UAH”, he added.
Total investments in 2016 could reach 152 million UAH. (Ukrainian metal)
