The Cabinet of Ministers has included supplies from the occupied territories of Donbass into the coal consumption plan.
“Deliveries from uncontrolled territories are in danger. Our energy system is in need of coal. And there are only two variants: to buy coal from uncontrolled territories or abroad. According to the Ministry of economical development and trade, the latter is more expensive. But if the railroad connection is broken, we will have only one way out – to import coal. It is expensive, and such contracts have to be worked out in advance. At the moment Ukraine’s needs have been calculated for a year. And they include deliveries from uncontrolled territories”, said the head of the National agency on Donbass reconstruction Vadim Chernysh. (Ukrainian metal)
