Ukraine: Alchevsk Works restores pig iron and sinter output

In February Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works plans to increase pig iron output to 173 thousand tons from 137 thousand tons in January.

Last month the works suffered from the lack of raw materials mostly due heavy snowfalls, resulting in the emergency stop of blast furnace #5.

This month Alchevsk Works also intends to produce 290 thousand tons of sinter. (Ukrainian metal)
