Militants of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic have stopped deliveries from Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works.

“Looks like LPR decided to take the works. On December 29, 2015 the tax police with militants visited the company. They stopped all deliveries from the works. We can’t ship, nor can we pay”, said a source in the company.

He said the militants called themselves representatives of the “state tax service of LPR”. They accused the company of tax evasion and blocked all operations.

If the works management doesn’t come to terms with the militants, 2 of its blast furnaces and 4 coking batteries will have to be closed down. (Ukrainian metal)
