In January-November Ukraine mined 25195.6 thousand tons of ordinary coal, down from 36351 thousand tons last year.

Coking coal mining fell by 52.4%, to 7396.5 thousand tons, that of power-generating – by 37.1%, to 28954.9 thousand tons.

The Ministry for energy and coal industry companies mined 6153.3 thousand tons, down by 64% YoY, including 1804.2 thousand tons of coking coal and 4349.1 thousand tons of power-generating coal, down by 59.9% and 65.5% respectively.

In 2014 this output totaled 17726.3 thousand tons, down by 26.6%, including 4602.1 thousand tons of coking coal and 13124.2 thousand tons of power-generating coal, down by 31.9% and 24.5% YoY respectively.

Donetsk region mines yielded 13048.2 thousand tons of coal, down by 47.7% YoY, those from Lugansk region – 3961.8 thousand tons (down by 77.2%), Dniepropetrovsk – 17309.4 thousand tons (up by 0.4%), Lviv region – 1805.5 thousand tons (up by 9.2%), while Volyn region mined 226.5 thousand tons, down by 15.7% YoY.
