The Central Processing Factory Pavlogradskaya has processed its 4 million tons of coal from the start of the year. This coal is supplied to 5 Ukrainian thermal power stations.

By mid November the factory has processed 4 million tons of ordinary coal and produced 2.4 million tons of concentrate. Last year it was able to process only 3.8 million tons of coal. This year the factory plans to process 4.1 million tons.

Increase in output was thanks to the grand scale modernization that DTEK started at the factory in 2012. After the major overhaul, that is scheduled to end in August 2016, the factory will be able to process 7 million tons of coal, up 1.6 times from the previous level. The modernization cost 485 million UAH.

The Central Processing Factory Pavlogradskaya mostly processes coal from two major DTEK mines in Western Donbass: Blagodatnaya and Space Heroes. (Ukrainian metal)
