In January-May Azovstal Iron and Steel Works, a part of the Metinvest group, produced 1.43 million tons of rolled metal, down by 19% YoY.
In the given period the works produced 1.69 million tons of steel and 1.5 million tons of pig iron, down by 10.7% and 8.4% respectively.
Due to the shutdown of the sinter factory sinter was not produced.
In May Azovstal produced 342 thousand tons of rolled metal, 399 thousand tons of steel and 341 thousand tons of pig iron.
In June the works intends to produce 329 thousand tons of steel and 286 thousand tons of pig iron, for which it would need to buy 33 thousand tons of scrap metal. (Ukrainian metal)
