In January-October Ukrainian ferroalloy companies decreased output by 20%, to 702.5 thousand tons, compared to the same period of last year.

In particular, silicomanganese output decreased by 17.2%, to 509.9 thousand tons, ferromanganese – by 54.5%, to 65.8 thousand tons, metallic manganese – by 45.1%, to 7.2 thousand tons, while ferrosilicon (45%) production increased by 7.2%, to 119.5 thousand tons.

Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant decreased its output by 34.5%, to 360.8 thousand tons. In particular: silicomanganese output fell by 26.1%, to 336.7 thousand tons, while ferromanganese output decreased by 74.7%, to 24.1 thousand tons.

Zaporozhye Ferroalloy Plant increased its output by 25.6%, to 224.1 thousand tons: silicomanganese – by 31.5%, to 152.6 thousand tons, while its ferromanganese output fell by 15.3%, to 41.7 thousand tons, and metallic manganese output decreased by  45.1%, to 7.2 thousand tons. Ferrosilicon (45%) output totalled 22.6 thousand tons (it wasn’t produced in January-October 2012).

Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant decreased its output by 24.7%, to 117.5 thousand tons. In particular, the plant decreased its silicomanganese output by 53.7%, to 20.6 thousand tons, and ferrosilicon output – by 13%, to 96.9 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
