According to the data issued by Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers, in the first 10 months of the current year Ukraine registered 6% decrease in its finished steel product output to 22.215 million tons, a 7% decrease in its crude steel output to 27.143 million tons and 1% decline in its pig iron production to 23.740 million tons all year on year.
The country’s production of metallurgical coke in the given period went down by 2.7% YoY to 15.911 million tons. In the January to October period Ukraine produced 56.338 million tons of iron ore concentrate and 18.689 million tons of iron ore pellets, up by 1% and 3% respectively compared to the same period last year.
In October Ukraine produced 2.551 million tons of crude steel, down by 1.2%, and 1.5 million tons of metallurgical coke, up by 3.2% both on MoM basis. (SteelOrbis)
